For over forty years The royal Yacht Brittannia served the Royal
Family, travelling over one million miles to become the most famous
ship in the world. Travelling to every corner of the globe, in
a career spanning 968 royal and official visits.
To Her MajestyThe Queen and the Royal Family, Brittannia was the
perfect royal residence for glittering State Visits, official receptions,
honeymoons and relaxing family holidays.
Further to decomissioning, Brittannia has now made Edinburgh's
historic Port of Leith her final home and is open to the public
throughout the year.
Brittannia is owned by The Royal Yacht Brittannia Trust, a non-
profit making charity, which is grateful for your support. All
proceeds go towards Brittannia's long-term maintenance.
Your tour of Brittannia starts in the Visitor Centre on the second
floor of Ocean Terminal. Here you can learn adout Brittannia fascinating
history through exhibits and photographs.
Starting at the Bridge and finishing at the Engine Room, discover
the reality behind life and work on board this Royal Yacht. Viewing
five decks, using thelift or stairs for easy access, you can tour
Brittannia at your own pace and enjoy higjlights that include the
State Dinning Room, the Drawing Room, the Sun Lounge, the Wardroom
and the Chief Petty Officer's Mess.
Brittannia is furnished with artefacts from The Royal Collection,
which are on loan with kind permission of Her Majesty The Queen.
